9/11

by Felicia Tursi   Sep 12, 2005

I wish there was no 9/11,
But we're not all from heaven.
It's so sad when you think about it,
How the two towers were lit.
Why would they do such a thing?
When we all heard the bang.
They said there was an accident in Tower 1,
But there was none.
It wasn't an accident at all,
When Tower 1 had it's fall.
When the second plane hit,
As it too had been lit.
So many innocent people dead,
No words were said.
Everyone was speechless,
But I must confess.
I had no reaction,
For I was only ten.
But now I realize how tragic it was,
I didn't even cry because.
For I was just a child,
As the Twin Towers piled.
Three-hundred and thirty-four firefighters,
Died in those fires.
I was driven back to reality today,
Wake me up when September has gone away.
