I Lost You

by Samantha   Sep 12, 2005

My heart is empty without you
I shiver because you're not at my side,
When I think of how I lost you
I think of all the tears I've cried.

You were always changing your moods
To fit how I was feeling that day,
It made me see how much you cared
In every possible way.

"The Ultimate Senior Jock"
Is what I once heard someone call,
Football, Basketball, and Leadership
You immediatly took on it all.

We lost touch for a little while
About three months to be exact,
It seemed like forever in my eyes
Because I was depressed, It was you I lacked.

When you got up the courage to call
We talked about everything that night,
I remember lots of laughing and crying
We vowed to never leave each other's sight.

Two weeks later I recieved a call
Wishing it was you on the other line,
I picked up, and said Hello
I wasn't ready for what I would find.

A car crash, and an innocent mistake
My whole life had just turned blue,
I cried forever that night
I found out I had just lost you.

It still hurts to this day
To think what I have ahead,
I have to live this life without you
Everyday I have to tread.

But to know I have someone waiting up there
It makes me feel warm inside,
To know that you are watching over me
It reassures me when I take in that you've died.
