I Told You

by Samantha   Sep 12, 2005

I told you when you left me
That you would never forget my smile,
I told you how much you'd miss me
And to get over me, It would take a while.

You were the one to tell me
It would be the other way around,
But every time I'm out with friends,
A missed call from you is what I've always found.

Why did you say all those loving things
If you knew we would never be?
You must of thought I was so dumb,
I knew all along what you wanted from me.

To tell me that you loved me
and you could never live without,
It was a stupid move on your part
I knew you would always run out.

What made you think I would give it up
When I told you in the start I wouldn't?
What made you think you were that special one
I knew your past, therefore I couldn't.

I'm glad to hear you miss me
It makes me feel better when I tell you I'm fine,
To hear you say you're sorry
I'm relieved to have drawn the line.
