A flower of my own

by Cameron   Sep 13, 2005

Bright and yellow,
frolicking through like a funny fellow
A field so big, my eyes so round
Jumping around like an English clown
Suddenly stopping, sitting and stalking
It caught my attention as I was walking
A flower so elegant; to my eyes it appeared
Looking through it, showed what I'd feared
Its soft touch and delicate skin
Showed my true feelings within
I loved that flower so greatly and dear
Why do they have to blossom once a year?

Today came the rain, so soft and mild
It created life back in the wild
More and more blossom everyday
I can't wait until the month of May
