Too Many Nights

by Renee   Sep 13, 2005

This blank screen, it seems to be telling me something.
Maybe it's those lonely memories of countless love flicks we've seen.
You know, the ones where you held me close on this very couch?
I'm starting to wonder what those timeless nights are about.

Everything, like those -nothings- you whispered,
those nights, it was just a fling, I figured.
But you threw me for a loop with three words screamed at my front door,
I could've sworn you promised "I love you."
Now I'm not so sure.

We lost ourselves in each other, you became my first lover.
Do you remember those nights? Rolling under the covers.
I think the stars fell right then and there, in front of my eyes.
I was flying on your cloud, and the sky blanketed your lies.

I lent you my love, for I thought I had yours.
But you are dam.n good at keeping things behind closed doors.
Those nights I spent recklessly thinking about you,
were those same nights you weren't thinking,
doing the dirty things you do.

-*-There's only one person I'll EVER regret falling for. And this is for him. -*-

Awwww. *Hugs* Beautiful write my queen. So sad. And I know many can relate.

    This:
"But you threw me for a loop with three words screamed at my front door,
I could've sworn you promised "I love you."
    Now I'm not so sure."
...Was exceptional. Pure genius...I know how that goes. I hope that you feel better soon, hun. Also, if it were meant to be, it would still be...he doesn't deserve your love. The right one will come to you soon. Just hold on. I'm here for you. :-). EEEE> xoxox Take care. Love you so much.

    Love always,
    Mortie.x.
