You think you know

by Jackie Prahl   Sep 13, 2005

Everyday you see someone,
someone who just doesn't seem to fit in
And just because you see them you think you know everything about the circumstance they are in.
But you know what just because you see them on the street
or know their name,
it doesn't mean you understand
it doesn't mean you know what they are going through.
how could you ever understand
what it feels like to be them?
Sure you've been through tough times
I think we all have.
But how could you understand how it feels for them when
their parents are dieing and they don't have much time.
would you even know what its like?
do you know how it feels to be alone, abandoned
by everyone around you?
would you be lost and confused if you were graduating at sixteen.
The point I'm getting at isn't that hard to see.
The next time you walk by a person
and give them and evil look, think about what it's like, not just for you.
Think about what they could be going through because you never know, you could be the reason they aren't there tomorrow.
But how would you know, what would it matter.
What if its someone your friends are close to but for some reason never really knew. How could that affect you? Give it a thought because you never know if it could be me or someone that could change the world, and accomplish for you all you ever wanted.
(In loving honar and memorie of Tanner Logan who died a year ago today.)
