A Dads love for his daughters mother

by LaDawn   Sep 14, 2005

I loved thee so; When we began
I told thee how I felt within
Now my thoughts although are sweet
Are thought so sad and held so deep
There they whirl within my head
My soul did ache from the things you said
I cried out to the lord above
"Please let me keep the one I love"
He answered not my desperate plea
So now it seems that I've lost thee
I'll go on through my life
Thee not beside me as my wife
When nothing more is on thy mind
then think of me from time to time
Remember fondly with a smile
That I'll still love you all the while.

Please vote for this poem its dedicated to my father who wrote it and died soon after when i was four years old!!!!!!!!
