My Razors Are Sharper Than Yours

by Megan Shannon   Sep 16, 2005

Loving you is like grasping thin air
I can see you, but nothing's there
Your nightly games of pain and lust
Leave me to bleed and my blade to rust

I trusted you once, but that's gone away
Away with the games that you long to play
Away with the way you treated my heart
Away with the life that you tore apart

So just walk off, it's better like this
Leaving me here, bleeding my bliss
Drowning in the lust you bestowed on my soul
The fires of passion have taken their toll

I feel it tear from deep within
Loving you was my greatest sin
My only sanctuary remains the knife
Calm and welcoming to take my life

All my life flashing before my eyes
First the love, then the lies
My love, won't you bury me in black?
Close your eyes and fade to black.

And don't forget.
My razors are sharper than yours.
