A New Direction

by Ann Stareyes   Sep 16, 2005

Non-Rhyming

Down a lonely road I travel
Erasing memories from my past
Trying to find a new direction
On a new path I hope to walk.

Trying to find the real me
That I was all those years ago
Trying to find that smile
That now I've lost.

Trying to find peace within
That use to run so deep
Trying to find that happiness
That has escaped and left me alone.

I'll find it eventually
I will never give up
I'm a strong woman
And I will survive....

    Ann,

This is a very inspirational piece and so powerful, very thought provoking. We all have such long paths to take in life and sometimes the roads we walk can be rough and difficult, but we must all be strong and carry on. Great write.

    Warmest regards,

    Steve
