Your love's shower

by Truly in Love   Sep 17, 2005

I play with my hair as if I was in your embrace
I look back at our love, so rare that now it leaves no trace

How you touched my lips with passion
And held my hand just to show me your perceptions

Each moment I spent in your arms
are the ones I'd die to have back
But our love is in a broken state right now
These feelings were the only thing you lacked

I can still feel your eyes starring at me
Stop haunting my soul, why can't you just let me be?

I dream of you night and day
I don't know what else I can say

When I asked for true love, all you gave me was pain
I've cried oceans of tears, but I won't let you see the stain

Love, I think it's a joke, beautifully said
Thinking of you, I lay here alone in bed

I never thought you would hurt me so bad
Giving me some love, and than taking away all I had

But this was all my mistake
I don't know why I believed in your love, when it was all fake

Your tight hugs, I still miss
I'm not fake, I was showing my love through every kiss

You've played with my heart for too long
The thought of you loving me is now entirely wrong

I wanted to be your breeze on a summer evening
I wanted to be your fire on a cold night
In your darkness, I wanted to be the light

But you made me weak
And blighted my power
My wounds could never heal with your love's shower
