Thinking of you.

I thought of you last evening
As I lay awake in bed
I pondered all your precious traits
And words to me you've said.

I thought of you this morning
Before the sun did rise
And mem'ries of your words of love
Made tears flow from my eyes.

I think of you while working
And also when I play
First thing in the morning
Then all throughout my day.

I'm thinking of you right now
As I write these words of rhyme
My thoughts of you, it must be said,
Are nearly all the time.

I wonder when these thoughts will cease
When will your mem'ry fade
Not till the final trump be heard
Or in my grave been laid.
