How can you promise
what isn't there,
when every time you breathe
I breathe the same air.

How come you say
you will always be here
when you know losing you
was my worst fear.

How can you live your life
with no minutes at all,
when every time you think of me
you never seem to call.

How could you turn your back
and walk away,
when all I ever wanted
was for you to stay.

Now you ask me
how come I don't take you back,
but if you don't remember
you just put on an act!!
