It's a Change

by Matt   Sep 18, 2005

I hope it burns and eat you alive
Wrapped in anger and darkness
The pain I've felt is unheard of
Unlike anything I've ever experienced
Every look people have toward me
Just twists the knife a little further
Slow and excruciating pain throughout
Arrows through my heart shot from you
Standing just two paces away
You left me there, pierced and bleeding
Moved on so quickly to the next one
Another heart you will break

Well, it's funny isn't it?
How quickly a heart mends
And how fast we all get on
Time is a precious commodity
Every second counts in life
There are no hate-filled lives
And all pain eventually heals
So, no matter how bad you hurt me
I'll survive, don't flatter yourself babe.
