I just want to see you again,
I just want you to be here.
But, I know it won't happen,
Because, you've been gone for years.
I just want to look into your eyes,
And feel the pain go away.
I just want to see you for a second,
You don't have to stay.
I just want to hold you so close,
And feel the comfort deep inside.
I just want you to be here,
So I won't have to hide.
I just want to feel that safeness,
Just... one more time.
I just want that shoulder to lean on,
That safe place to cry.
I just want to see your face,
Memories are fading too fast.
I just want to go back,
And enjoy it while it lasts.
I just want to know you're OK,
I didn't get to say goodbye.
If I knew you were OK,
I promise I would no longer cry.
I just want to know if you're watching me,
From that place up above.
And I just want you to know,
I will never forget you and you will always have my love.
