Secrets that we share
Never to be spoken
And a love filled heart
Waiting to be broken

I give myself to you
Everyday a little more
A secret within a secret
A man I now adore

On the back of my mind
I know we are just a story
With no happy endings
Of lasting love and glory

For my so called prince
Already has a queen
And all I am left with
Is to be the unseen

Keeping secrets from everyone
Going on day by day
Hoping that my growing love
Will quickly fade away

Secrets that I keep
To please my hurting heart
Though I give in now
Soon it will be torn apart

The last rose petal falls
There wont be anymore "us"
There wont be no more calls

Secrets that consume me
In every painful way

A story that from the
Very beginning knew its end
Day by day it unfolds
Secret lovers and friends

I express my feelings
The best way that I can
Living a lie
Acting like your my man

I keep my secret
Within our secret
I suffer for it

Every story has an end
Either good or bad
I've known the outcome to this one
It's the reason I am sad

And sometimes I think
That our story was a mistake
But it's not where it leads us to
But the journey that we take
