The Complicated Corner of The Heart

For one time
i can't believe
that this is truly happening
it hasn't really sank in yet
but it will hit me hard
I've tried so hard for so many years
only to have it come so easily
I'm the happiest I've ever been
and i don't understand why
how you could hurt me so much last year
you couldn't have given me a mere thought
but now...
me is all you see
at least i think so...
but i don't know if this is right
or if this is even true
am i in love?
for i never have been before
so i don't know what it feels like
you're just so complicated
i don't get you
even though i have you
all my old dreams will come true
I'll finally hold you in my arms
maybe just for one night
I'm not sure how long this will last
all the poems I've written of you
and the one I'm writing now
I'll still remember all the old memories
and try not to hold any against you
maybe this short lived romance
is a good thing for my heart
or maybe it will just tear it apart
