Against all odds

You came into my life against all odds,
you dug your way in to my heart,
then you planted a seed,
which started to grow,
now this flower cover up my heart,
it protects it through eternity.

I trusted you from the beginning of,
trust was what that connected us and made us strong,
as time went by feelings changed,
I fell for the one I held so close.

I looked up at the stars at night and wished that he would never know,
never know of my feelings so strong or my heart that beat for him,
I cried myself to sleep knowing I wasn't for him.

it's funny how things turns out in this world so blue,
you are now mine, I never thought this could be,
I never thought I could have that shy little creature,
