Now My Friend You're Free

by Ashlee Nicole   Sep 24, 2005

You said you'd always be there,
There right by my side.
That you weren't going anywhere,
Yet now you run and hide.

You said that I'm too needy,
And not a truthful friend.
Well hey lets not get greedy,
Because this is the end.

I'm far too time consuming,
These are your words not mine.
For you began accusing,
I guess this was the sign.

The sign your not my ally,
But a friend that's truly false.
Oh friend please don't deny,
Because you have no faults.

For you my friend are perfect,
And could not come to my face.
Cause I don't deserve the respect,
For I'm the big disgrace.

From my supposed lies,
Still not brought to me.
Well heres your big surprise.
Now Becky I set you free.

Free from my sea of lies,
Which has so beaten you down.
Yet I hear no cries?
Friend I hope you didn't drown.

Here friend take my hand,
Quick now grab a hold.
I'll pull you safe to land,
There you can grow old.

Safe from my bog of deceit,
Your heart forever encased.
Just know I except defeat,
And it's heart breaking embrace.

Because my friend you'll always be,
Deep with me inside.
For you've created your own sea,
To now go run and hide.

You said you'd always be there,
Till the very end.
And I thought you'd always care,
I thought you were my friend.
