Mistaken Heaven

by PammieBabe   Sep 24, 2005

The sky was dark and covered in invisible stars
Somewhere beyond the mysterious realms of Mercury and Mars,
I was there waiting for an answer to ease the pain
Only to find the rhythm of the rain
It pounded on my face to mix with my fears
And ran down my arms to mix with my blood red tears
I found myself lost there; once again I'm alone
My breathing was rapid and my heart was of stone
It was cracked in a million places but somehow still intact,
I never understood why I kept coming back
So I stood to think of why you made me cry
I stood to watch my world as I slowly felt me die
And once I became weak and fell to the floor
I thought I saw the beauty of heaven but I never was sure
