I can Imagine

by Zach Cambria   Sep 25, 2005

I can Imagine-
A time of falling leaves,
When the trees sit barren in a frostbitten park-

As a lonely soul wanders-searching...
For a light amongst an Eternal Dark.

An impossible task it seems to be,
to a man with no imagination...
To wander through a place of dark so hopelessly,
While writhed with anticipation.

Better to be safe, To stay-
Where you know things can not harm you-
To listen to the same song over and over...
To always ask the same question-
So that the answer always comes out true.

Should this be the way we live,
Our lives trapped within a colorless phase-
To never find a new beauty within,
To wander along in an endless maze....

How about to actually go where life is only dark-
and to search for light-
To use your last ounce of energy-
To never give up, even an impossible fight.

Don't be the one who sits trapped in a cell-
Where the dying trait of imagination dwells-
Instead you must use that trait-

To live life on a winding road,
To compensate for every twist of fate.
