2 Dragons

by goddessofsong   Sep 25, 2005

2 dragons,
one black as night.
the forlorn, the forsaken
one blue as the deep deep sea
sighing in it's peaceful slumber.
the black saw the blue's content sleep,
and stole her precious gold.
she flew with it to her own cave,
but the blue dragon slept on.
she had lost her prized possession
her life, her love,
but she would not fight for it
even when she discovered it gone.
for the black needed it more,
for that shimmering gold brought
comfort,
and the love the blue had had for so long,
but the black had never had,
so she went back to sleep,
no longer content,
but still sighing
