Cutting

It seemed like it was just a trend
the thing to do that summer
but one thing we just couldn't see
was all the pain inside her

She cut, she bled, she cried a lot
she tried hard not to show it
she hid the scars behind the bands
so nobody would know it

She said people thought that she was weird
and that they all despised her
but everything that she went through
just made me love her better

I ccouldn't??t see the pain in her
until the day I heard it
I never knew it was that bad
I never could see through her

so now itâ??s done, at least I hope that there is no more sorrow
and now I see her smiling face â?º
and it gives me hope for tomorrow
