Lost...

Lost!

I'm lost
Darkness around me
I think of running
Something moves beside me.

The stars sparkle
The moonlight shines
The wind howls
The bushes rustle.

Something brushes my leg
I fall the ground
The ground cold below me
There he is.

Eyes glaring at me
I look back lovingly
I will survive I say in my mind, this will not be the end
He nods and I roll aside.

I hold him at bay, in my eyesight
He swerves and hits me
I fall and throw a punch
He swings, falls and drags me down.

Down we go
It seems so slow
I stand up
He's right before me.

He raises a hand to strike
That moment mist surrounds us
Darkness falls upon us
The stranger disappears.

And I go on
In the mist of the trees
