A Freezing Cold Night

by dollwithafrown   Sep 26, 2005

It's a freezing cold night
Where I shake and I shiver
Heavy gales among endless rain
Making me quake and quiver

Wishing for some outstretched arms
To grasp and hold me tight
To never let me go again
And support me through the night

The banging of my windows
The battering of the doors
Scares me as I try to sleep
While the rain continues to pour

I stay here lying peacefully
Trying to bottle up my fright
I'll stay quiet 'till morning
And I'll make it through the night

This was so beautifully written...the first stanza drew me completely in, I didn't want it to end!
    Beautiful flow, and perfect imagery.

I htink the imagery in this poem was amazing. You could imagine it. the words used were really great, as they described the cold night wonderfully. I liked the overall flow of it. One thing i disliked was teh fact it has no punctuation, this kinda threw me off a little. But your a great poet please keep writing! Thanks for your comments on my poems. xx
