Simple Things

A single tear runs down my face
Nothing seems to be okay.
A single white cloud in the sky
Never promises no rain, just shine.
A single ray of sun hits the ground
Funny where I stand theres shadown all around.

I wish that tear meant the finish
But never will it, for its only the start.
I wish that could up in the sky assured me of shine.
But it never will, for it does not speak the words I need.
I wish I could move where the sun hits the ground
But I never will, for it moves and darkness still surrounds.

Simple things, true in life
Come to me in the night.
But the Simple Things I need in life
Hide from me despite my fight.
