Apocalypse

by Matt   Sep 28, 2005

Don't let the days pass by, my autumn sweet
Frosted grass and clouds of breath are coming
When the sun says goodbye to early for us
And the winds blow all acquaintances apart
The snow falls from the sky like little angels
Disappearing when we try to keep them ourselves
Our generation of nowhere kids wander on
What do you fear in life, Autumn angel?
Just that one instant of inadequacy?
...Firefly, won't you shine your light for us
You've got time to waste and I'm just waiting
Every forgotten memory will be remembered
And every nightmare will come to life
Sooner or later, we will all breakdown
In a whirlwind display of pain and hate
Spinning 'round with joy and hope
A catastrophe of the best proportions
An apocalypse at the start of time

That was a really beautiful poem. I love anything with angels or autumn in it. 5/5 from me and I look foreward to reading some more of your poetry. Cheers. Mercedes
