A long lonely path to a beautful place

by Kiki   Sep 28, 2005

It was a long lonely road that I had to take,
One that I now know wasn't a mistake.
A road that was so un-taken, and bare,
One that would give anyone a scare.
With dark clouds always over head,
With thorns all around in their twisted beds.
This road looked as if it had been abandoned,
Left to never be taken again.
And as I walked it's lonely path,
I began to laugh.
Laugh about all the funny things we did.
Laugh about how sometimes I wish I was still a little kid.
About the times we laughed together,
And even about the times we cried.
Threw that laughter I began to see,
That even thought you were not there, you were still with me by my side.
And as the road turned into a beautiful place,
I looked back and smiled with grace.
For if I had not taken that long lonely road I don't know were I would be today.
I guess it was a healing process...or at least that is what I say
