Weakness

by Rachael   Sep 28, 2005

The strong grow weak
Your heart takes the blow,
The reparation of your trust
Has got so far to go.

Everything you dreamt of
The hopes on which you leaned,
The quiet pain you suffer
Is more than I have ever seen.

You pick up the burdens others leave
Even though it's much to bear,
Your selflessness amazes me
This finding is quite rare.

You mask your tortured soul
You never speak your mind,
You brush it off as nothing
In your eyes the truth I find.

I can't help you fix yourself
I won't even begin to try,
But I'll be strong for both of us
Pour out your heart and cry.

Say anything you wish
Tell me all your fears,
My feelings will not change for you
I'll always hold you near.

I thought it was impossible
That my love for you could grow,
I thought I'd reached the limit
I see it isn't so.
