My Nursery Rhyme

by cuppycake   Sep 29, 2005

One, two
buckle my shoe
I thought I was
in love with you,

three, four
You slammed the door
now my heart
bleeds on the floor,

five, six
you broke the sticks
just like my heart
it can't be fixed,

seven, eight
you laid me straight
after you killed me
you though you had a clean slate,

nine, ten
my soul can never be condemned
I'll be here to haunt you
over and over again.

Nice how you turned a nursery rhyme into a heartbreak poem.
