Demon within

by Ashelin   Sep 30, 2005

The cruel laugh left your lips
As you stood over me
Holding your bloodied dagger in the air
Oh why can't you just see
That what you have done has hurt me so
Not just the pain of the body
But also deep withing my heart

You stab down once again
Sending that blade deep within
Straight to my sorrowed heart
And yet, you stop
You lift the dagger out of my wound
And laugh that hideous, cursed laugh
Sending my heart into deeper gloom

Burning tears seep down my cheek
Searing trails of sorrow, eyes leak
My blood spills, ever more
The last thing I see is you
The last thing I hear is the demon within you
I see it's claws within your heart and mind
Killing yours and then killing mine
