I don't know why
I think of you by-and-by
Is this what they call love?
That God has sent from above

Every time I talk with you
I would know my feeling for you is true
I am sure that the feling is love
Not a hand covered with a glove

Every time I see the warm smile from you
I would know my love for you is true
Because you always have that smile
That makes my spirit fly a mile

Every time I see you walk past
My heart always beat very fast
It feels like if my heart is coming out
And my love for you is no doubt

If only you would know my feeling
And understand that it's not double-dealing
I would love to have your smile
And keep that in a file

My feeling for you inside
Is very hard to hide
I want to tell you of my feeling inside
But I'm afraid of how you'll act outside

You were always kind to me
But do you know where I want to be?
I want to be on your side at daylight
And want to be by your side at night

Every day after school I would hurry home
To wait and wait by the phone
To wait for your call
And wait past nightfall

But every time you would not call
I would feel like I'm in a wall
Waiting for someone to rescue me
And let me go so I'll be free

It's been an year I've been waiting
For you to call and tell me of your feeling
But everyday you wouldn't call
I would feel like I might fall

Today I know that love
Doesn't make you free as a dove
I'm writing this poem to remember this
Cause you have never given me a kiss
