Starting with today

There's people out there living
their perfect little lives
not even seeing
what's right in front of their eyes

they don't see the hunger
they don't see the pain
all they look at
is what they have to gain

they don't understand
that others spend their lives
alone and in the streets
always asking why

oh, God, please help them see
what it is they're doing
when happiness and wealth
for themselves they are pursuing

there's people out there on the streets
who are really trying
they deserve to live their lives
not struggling to get by

help them see the pain
of those that life this way
help us make the world a better place
starting with today
