Dreaming Again

by Anthony   Oct 2, 2005

They say that we're different
They say that we're strange.
They want us to be like them,
But it's they that can't change.

Why can't the love
That they see in our eyes
Be enough for them to stop
Their twisted little lies?

Forced to stay in hiding
We do what most would do
Our lips touch gently
You love me, I love you.

We lay there never moving
Inside each other's arms.
Your head listens to my heartbeat,
There's a cuteness in your charms.

Now there's something wrong,
Nothing is as it seems.
I'm tired of this happening.
You're just a woman of my dreams...

    Nice! Here's a serious critique..

    "The say that we're strange."

    I'm sure you meant "they"

    And the first stanza:

    "They say that we're different
    The say that we're strange.
They want us to be like them,
But it's they that can't change.'

Was alright, but it didn't flow as nicely in the last two lines.

However, I enjoyed it, so kudos to you!
