Black

by Roulin   Oct 3, 2005

Black is the color of my lucid, vivid dreams,
The color of the sky that is ripping at the seams,
Black is the color of the snake where poison burns,
The color of my heart that for compassion yearns.

Black is the color of the warm and starlit night,
The color that I prefer yet others turn in fright,
Black is the color that gleams in my hair,
Black is the color of the end and despair.

Black fills my world with the sweetest serenity,
Allowing me to live await from all sincerity,
Where twisted vipers lie in prying wait,
Where treacherous wolves are setting out the bait.

Black is the color of my long poisoned blood,
which seethes and spits like lava cased mud,
Writhing like the worm that once was a snake,
The cruelest and the coldest â??friendâ?? to make
