The Good Die Young

by *Chocolate*   Oct 4, 2005

Its like just yesterday
I saw your handsome face
But as the time goes by
That picture will soon erase
I never would\'ve thought
That i wouldn\'t see you again
The time we spent in school
You were nothing but a friend
I wish i could go back
To the first day i met you
The days we chilled in class
When i said you was my boo
Remember those times
When you made our teachers mad
Now you going home
Leaving everybody sad
Remember Ms.De Vaughn
And how she stayed on your back
Like when we did scene by scene
Do you remember that?
I remember the days
That you stayed in the weight room
But i know as i reminisce
I\'ll get to see you soon
The little time I\'ve known you
I got to know you well
And all the things i told you
Those secrets you didn\'t tell
I know that you are happier
In the new place that you reside
But still come back to visit
Because we need you by our side
I know your family is hurting
So let them know you are okay
Tell them to be happy
Cause they\'ll see you to someday
Your cousin Zaid is a mess
But he won\'t let me know
You know i will be here for him
So tell him let his feelings show
Zaid loves you dearly
I could see it in his eyes
Like when i told him what happened
He took it by surprise
But why did you have to go
Your life has just begun
You was a beautiful angel
Guess God needed another one
I\'m sorry you didn\'t get to live
The life you had played out
God has a plan for everyone
So i guess this was your route
We\'re gonna miss your smile
And your goofy personality
The times you made us laugh
Showing us your sexy body
But don\'t stop playing football
I know there\'s a team up there
Where you can play all day
And no one would ever care!
So i guess I\'ll let you rest
Until i speak to you later
You have much more happiness
His power is greater...

Wow, this poem is really sad and very emotional. You can tell your words came from the heart, good job! I think you're a talented writer and could grow to be one of the best...

I'm sorry about your friend, as you can tell by my poem, I've lost someone close to me as well. The good do die young...such a shame...
