SUNSET

Alone I walk down the beach shore
Seagulls flying high above my head
Cool wind clears my hair off my face
Sends me shivering down to my spine

The sands crushed between my toes
I walk on barefoot with a heavy heart
Feeling tears cascade down my cheeks
I wipe it away with my cold bare hand

Then the sun begins to set in crimson red
The beauty of it makes me weep more
I never felt lonely looking at the sunset
With only your memories sharing it with me
