Beginning to be Me

by Mallory Vn   Oct 5, 2005

I'm starting to forget him
I'm beginning to move on
I've met a new boy
To him i now belong

I'm doing crazy things
And acting young again
I'm believing in myself
I've got plenty more friends

I'm actually going out now
And doing what i do best
Not curled up in my bed anymore
My face I'm willing to forget

I'm starting to remember happiness
And how it feels to be
I'm starting to love again
I'm beginning to be me

"I've got plenty more friends" this line seemed out of place, and didnt really fit within what you were saying in the second stanza.

"My face I'm willing to forget" do you mean "His face..." because forget your own face sounds strange.

    "I'm starting to love again
    I'm beginning to be me"

Loved these lines. Best part of the poem!
