In the Moment

by N J Thornton   Oct 6, 2005

Standing in the moment,
between the first settling snowflake,
and a rose in full bloom.
It is then that we began to dance.
Palm in palm, the tapping of our feet,
in time with the pounding of our heartbeats.
Every step mirrored as we waltz to our song.
Whirling for but a second...
when we become lost.
Feet entwined; our bodies' rush for one another.
I must be flying above the hands of desire,
only to be caught by the sturdy arms of my knight.
And we are held in the moment
between our first dance,
and true love's first kiss.

maybe make it a bit longer? but its great how it is. thanx for the comments you gave, im really grateful! Not many people actually give the advise you did and im very thankful! could i ask for a favour? its just, one of my poems, "come fly with me" is for a friend and i want to give it too her....so some honest advise would be really appreciated! If you ever want me to return the favour, i would be happy to!

Love how I am able to picture the story your poetry is telling -- this is something you should try to do with all of your poems
