Sexual assault

It happens everyday
weather or not you know
you tell me how would you feel
if someone you didn't know
came to you
asking for more than you want to show
the next thing you know that person is all over you
no matter what you do or say
they just wont go away
all you want is it to be a dream
but its not
you feel so helpless
so lost, scared, alone
and even if you get away
with no physical harm done
doesn't mean you don't feel it
it doesn't mean its over
it's just as bad
as if you were beaten and battered
do you know what to think?
are you OK?
you feel violated
like you did something you shouldn't have
like its all your fault
you wanna scream no, stop, leave me alone, go away
but it wont
it just haunts you
for days, months, sometimes years on end
you never feel the same
its harder to trust
and you never want to be alone
you never let it go
you'll always remember
the day they touched you
did you wrong
it will never go away
you will always remember the day you were sexually assaulted.
Remember this if you ever think of doing it your self, how would you feel.
And remember every time you let you kids out
what could happen no matter their age.
Just be careful because you never get over that pain.
And no one will ever be able to help you.
Don't forget when you walk down the street that person next to you could be the one person to change your life or you child's.
