Alone Under Deaths Eye

by Steve Hickman   Oct 7, 2005

Only the moonlit clouds stood over us as we kissed the romance goodbye,
We walked down this road broken by silence and stood alone under deaths eye.

As the fear shadowed the hope,
I held your hand without regret,
but now that your gentle embrace is gone,
I'll cherish the memories you left behind.

I love that last bit. It's beautifully written, and it made me smile. Which is a big thing... you should be proud :). But seriously, it's really lovely. Nice Write.
