As the fear shadowed the hope,
I held your hand without regret,
but now that your gentle embrace is gone,
I'll cherish the memories you left behind.
I love that last bit. It's beautifully written, and it made me smile. Which is a big thing... you should be proud :). But seriously, it's really lovely. Nice Write.
