Unbroken 10/06/05

by hopefloats   Oct 7, 2005

You came to me as though you would save me,
In reality, you must have really hated me.
It's been so long since I've felt this low,
but knowing I could count on you, you gave me one after the other,
blow after blow.
Knowing from the beginning this would happen again,
Never trust your heart in the hand of "friend".
Bruised and beaten, feeling betrayed and spiteful
I give a sigh of relief, you were just such a handful.
"Addicted to the drama, addicted to the pain" you live life in the shadow of your own saying.
You don't want to be free, you don't want to see the light,
You love the struggle, you love the fight.
I was getting sucked in, believing your bull sh*t and that I was struggling too,
But f**k all that, I'm stronger than you.
I've found peace within myself, I know I will be ok, tomorrows a new beginning, the start of another day.
And when you look back, as I know you will,
remember you have a void I have no desire to fill.
Never pity me, only admire me, think of me, then let me be.
A fool in love, a love left unspoken, I will rise above this, I will be unbroken.
