Blades

by Switchblade89   Oct 7, 2005

Blood slowly drips as the blade breaks skin,
tears and fears rush out as it slides more in,
to talk about your depression, doesn't work, it's defective,
a blade is so much better, so simple, so effective,

A thin piece of metal, a razor, or a knife,
helps you through depression for the rest of your life,
it gets you through all the days that you cry,
it helps you get past all the days that go by,

You pull the razor out and make a quick slice,
still feeling depressed, you cut yourself twice,
the blood flows out, like a red river,
a simple but effective relief to depression, a razor,

A blade is a friend, who comes when you want,
resistance to temptation, it gives you a taunt,
it says "don't talk of depression, it doesn't work, it's defective,
I'm so much better, so simple, so effective,"

    Great poem.
I so can totally relate to this.
    Especially on this part:
A blade is a friend, who comes when you want,
resistance to temptation, it gives you a taunt,
it says "don't talk of depression, it doesn't work, it's defective,
I'm so much better, so simple, so effective,"

    Loving it <3
