Forgiveness

by Josh Hopper   Oct 8, 2005

My dearest apology,

to those of you Ive hurt,

I never meant this to happen,

I wanted things to work.

We started out as friends,

but everyone joined in,

I didn't know what to do with myself,

I felt I couldn't win.

I'm to the point of giving up,

all I feel is lost,

I wanted everyone to be happy,

not worrying about the cost.

Forgive me for I'm wrong,

I realize its the truth,

please don't try to correct me,

forget it whats the use?

You kept screaming out my name,

yet you heard nothing in return,

I let you out to dry and then I let you burn.

Burned you to ashes,

so that you were just as memory,

let you out in to the wind,

to wander for all eternity.

Forgive me for I know,

that what I did was wrong,

I was never there for you,

yet you knew it all along.

You liked me for who I was,

not for what Ive become,

Now I can see you plainly,

you tease me just for fun.

I'm sorry for what I did,

I know you don't understand,

it may be hard for you to forgive me,

I turned away and ran.
