When I close my eyes and fall into a dream
the one wish I've ever wanted is granted, it seems
I finally have you by my side
I finally have you to be mine

All the happiness and sensations I feel
tricks my mind into thinking it's all real
With each dream that seems to last forever
I'd swear this time we're really together

But when I wake up and we're apart
I'm filled with devastation deep in my heart
If the only place we could be is in a dream
then I wish I'd be forever asleep

If only I could jump away from reality
into a world of fantasy
into our dream made for you and me
Oh, how I wish I'd be forever asleep

    So good, Josh! Good job writing it! I really liked it a lot! My favorite stanza was:

    "All the happiness and sensations I feel
    tricks my mind into thinking it's all real
    With each dream that seems to last forever
    I'd swear this time we're really together"
