Waking up alone

I woke up this morning to find myself alone and thinking of you

Thoughts went to you laying by yourself as well

We both know that we should be together and one day we will

It doesn't make every morning like this any easier to accept

Soon our children will be asking for us in separate parts of town

I dream of the day I can slip out of bed and give them what they want

Pouring the cereal and making the coffee waiting for you my darling
