A Glimpse Of My Thoughts

by William   Oct 9, 2005

I dreamt a dream of grief.
Last of plants, falling of the last leaf.
Teens living life, lovin.
Touchin each other, kissin and huggin.
Elders sitting in chairs, dead.
Pets in the backyard wimpering, unfed.
Kids picked off the streets, unaware.
Adults not worried, not even giving a damn care.
Proceed living in a world of hatred.
A life of war, dropped a bomb, while layin in bed.
The nations of the U.S, citizens of this great country.
Crying for lost loved ones, great misery.
Reading to learn, write to create poetry.
Friends turn there backs, major treachery.
Great people winning the nobel prize.
Your own hate, your own demise.
Why was life made to make people suffer?
Why hasn't life been made with joy and laughter?
Why was people sent to war with no reason to fight?
Why should we keep living under there rule, is that right?
Never ending talks, vexation.
The life of pure happiness is everyones destination.
Some people chase their dreams.
Do anything necessary, in any means.
I'm not giving a d@m for anyone or anything.
Not giving a f about everything.
Everyones been gettin on my nerves lately.
Everyones been pissin me off lately.
So just leave me alone to think.
How I'd love to die at the bottom of the ocean and sink.
Never found, never searched for.
Forget me, and what my life was before.
Roam freely, fly and sore.
Remembering my life and my friends of great valor.
Never let me down, never gave me doubt.
But now I think my times up, run out.
So let me awaken from this dream.
Finish my role, my life, and let me scream.
Kill my mind, my heart, let me be free.
End everything, and let me be me.

Wow, this was good good good good...
    I can't express how much I enjoyed
    this poem. meaningful and really
    wonderfully written. well, it wasn't
a surprise for me to see that this poem
is really well written because all of
your poems are very good but still
this one was another thing. I loved it.
    and good questions in it:
Why was life made to make people suffer?
Why hasn't life been made with joy and laughter?
maybe because they can make our
    souls stronger and better.
hope to see more of your poems,
