No Matter What

by Kristin   Oct 10, 2005

Look at you, my beauty, so divinly perfect,
and then, gaze at me, the result of your neglect.
Everytime I look at you I think of what I've missed,
your smile, our memories, the last time we kissed.

I'll be here forever, right there by your side,
contemplating what was said, wondering if love can really die...
As I've always promised, I'll stick by you through and through,
and unlike anyone else, I don't have to imagine the perfect boy... I've got him there in you.

It was either something I did, or something you said,
I refused, I would never accept, that your feelings for me were dead...
I don't know how, and I don't know why,
but please, let me hold you one more minute, let me stare into those eyes...

May someone please help me, by the stars in the sky,
to bless me with your presence, help me escape from this lie.
If you really had loved me, it would've worked out,
so please, save me - Rescue me from this life of doubt.

Doesn't matter what they do, doesn't matter what they say,
they don't look up at the stars each night, wishing they'll see you the next day.
No constant wondering if you're thinking of them too,
I love you, and to be with you there is nothing I won't do.

I love you, I've told you, until the day that I die,
you're my gift, my miracle, my angles awaiting to fly.
Shit happens but I'll love you through and through,
broken backs, mended hearts - There's nothing I won't do.

I think about you now, and I thought about you then,
you alone are worth it all, you are my sweetest sin.
All my thoughts gather, and unify into one,
your picture always forms, after it's all said and done.

You're the only one, no one else matters,
please no, don't decline - Please don't make my heart shatter.
You are the one I love, the one I'll forever miss,
just remember that, please think back, and with that I'll dismiss...
