Made Me Stronger

Though my heart broke,
and i thought i couldn't go on
i would later realize
my journey had jus begun

we started off so perfect
like a dream come true
i only thought about one thing
and that was me and you

at first, i couldn't ask for anything better
you were a dream come true
and you always wanted to be together

college started and you started to fade away
slowly but surely, day by day

i couldn't do anything about it
but deep down, i was dyin inside
you were my "first love"
and i knew i was gonna have to say good-bye

you weren't callin me when you said you would
or lookin at me the same
that was the most important
because then i knew i was bein replaced

now i'm stronger than ever
and know myself inside and out
you made me stronger
without a doubt

i stand up for myself
and don't take anything from guys
because i know their game
and all their lies

i'm gonna be somethin big
because i'm not quittin til i get there
i'll find a man that respects me
and treats me fair
