Everyday

If I tell myself enough
then I'll begin to listen
think of what's to come
and not what I'll be missing.
I'll start to believe myself
& all the words I've spoken
despite what people say
and the fact that my heart's broken.
I'll just gain the courage
to turn my back away
ignore all the tears
like it's any other day.
So every time I lie
the more it becomes true,
and everyday I tell myself
that I just can't love you.
