The Basketball Game

by Maegan   Oct 11, 2005

Looking into your eyes,
seeking your feelings so true.
Having fun and laughing,
feeling what I feel for you

Coming closer,
then fading away so fast.
Playing this game of basketball,
my heart beating fast

Contact begins,
You make your flirty remarks.
I laugh and smile,
take the ball, and
push past you hard

You grab my hand to stop me,
pulling me back towards you.
I feel the blood
rush through my veins,
my eyes focused on you.

The score is tied,
Yet we stand there forever
We smile at one another,
finish our game,
and walk away together.
